For our main services we use the Scottish Liturgy 1982 (Blue Book);
Liturgies for specific services through the year – eg Advent, Lent,
Easter and Family Services. For some services we also use the Scottish Liturgy
1970 (Grey Book);
We use vestments which reflect the Church year; candles; wafers; incense is used on festive occasions; sacring bell; all major festivals are observed and celebrated. The Church has an aumbry (a locked cupboard) in the Lady Chapel in which we retain the reserved sacrament for use in home and hospital communions. Sunday School is taken by a rota of teachers and is held in the Church hall. The children come into Church at the Offertory, receive Communion and/or a Blessing and return to the hall. (A Child Protection Officer has been appointed in line with current guidelines).
