About

Christ Church, Falkirk is part of the Scottish Episcopal Church, which itself is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Situated in the western reaches of the Diocese of Edinburgh, it serves Episcopalians, Anglicans and people of all faiths or none, living in the town of Falkirk and its surrounding communities.

These communities are extensive, and include Airth, Avonbridge, Bonnybridge, Brightons, California, Carron, Carronshore, Denny, Dunipace, Larbert, Laurieston, New Carron, Polmont, Reddingmuirhead, Slamannan and Stenhousemuir – members of our congregation come from all these areas. The church in Grangemouth is a daughter church of Christ Church and serves that area (now linked with Bo’ness).

We have a strong core congregation and a reputation for being welcoming and friendly. Our membership is around 120, with a weekly average of nearly 70 communicants.

We are currently in interregnum, with the Rev Ruth now being Rector at St Fillan’s in South Edinburgh. Our Interim Rector is the Very Rev Jim Mein and Pastoral care is being organised by the Rev Anne Smith.
